I’ve read other books that leave you with a headache, confused, and feeling inadequate as a parent but that was not the case this time. The birth and first 6 weeks of my son’s life were painful emotionally and physically. I went into the hospital with an idea and it was crushed but thanks to women like Dr. Amanda and this book I know it doesn’t have to be like that again. I’m expecting my second son in April this time I’ll be armed with a midwife and a natural birth plan!

I loved this book, very informative. I wish I knew all this information before I had my first child. I did know some but this book sheds a light on holistic care and natural birth for mother and child. Also healthy eating habits as far as eating whole organic food and protecting our children from toxins prevalent in our environment today. Because of this book I have found a family chiropractor and our whole family will be getting adjusted regularly. I would recommend this book to all families.

I enjoyed the straightforward approach of this book. Giving the facts supported by references, encouraging the reader to do their own research and make their own decisions. There were many insights in this book that I would never have thought to question prior to reading this book…namely pap tests and especially mammograms. Open your minds and read what could be a life changing book. Most importantly always question a doctor wanting to give you a prescription or recommend having a surgery.
